A quick rundown of the car's spec sheet reads like a supercar, with performance numbers that include a 0-60 time of just seconds and a top speed of almost 200 mph from a turbocharged diesel engine that can run on almost anything, including bio diesel, mineral diesel, palm oil and linseed oil. In standard form, this engine produces 430 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque, but even more impressive is the fact that 700 of these lb-ft are available at just 980 rpm. At this low engine speed, the Trident Iceni geared to run at 70 mph. The company says that's good enough for almost 70 mpg and can give the coupe a driving range of more than 2,000 miles on one tank. Au Concours d'Élégance de la Villa d'Este 2022, de fantastiques voitures de collection ainsi que d'incroyables supercars se disputent les faveurs des spectateurs. Parmi toutes ces raretés, la "Marsien" de Marc Philipp Gemballa. L'occasion de voir ce véhicule de près. Pour rappel, la Marsien a été créée sur la base d'une Porsche 911 Turbo S de génération 992. On la reconnaît encore assez bien à sa partie avant. Mais à l'arrière, le véhicule ressemble à un hommage moderne à la légendaire 959. Pour le design, Marc Philipp Gemballa n'a rien laissé au hasard et a fait appel au designer et passionné de Porsche Alan Derosier, connu pour son époustouflante étude de design Porsche 908, qui est responsable du design ultramoderne de la Marsien. La Marsien est conçue comme une voiture de sport polyvalente, adaptée aussi bien à l'asphalte qu'au tout-terrain, grâce à un châssis KW réglable en hauteur de 120 à 250 millimètres. Les différents modes de conduite, qui peuvent être sélectionnés via le volant, permettent de faire varier considérablement la réactivité du véhicule, selon que l'on souhaite le faire rouler durement sur un circuit ou en tout-terrain. Ne manquez pas Le boxer doublement suralimenté de 3,8 litres de la Turbo S a été augmenté de 650 à 750 ch et de 800 à 930 Nm de couple. Parmi les interventions mécaniques les plus importantes sur la Marsien figure le système d'échappement Akrapovic, qui promet un son encore plus sombre et pénétrant. Pour les insatiables, Marc Philipp Gemballa propose en outre une variante encore plus puissante de 830 ch, pour laquelle le spécialiste RUF a procédé à une série de mises à niveau du turbo, de l'ECU et de la transmission. Mais même dans sa "version de base", la Marsien parcourt le 0-100 km/h en seulement 2,7 secondes. La transformation est livrée avec un intérieur tout cuir ou Alcantara, fabriqué à la main avec des matériaux de la plus haute qualité, une console centrale surélevée en fibre de carbone sur-mesure inspirée de la Carrera GT, ainsi que des seuils de porte de style GT, des jupes latérales en fibre de carbone et d'autres accents en fibre de carbone dans tout l'habitacle, entièrement personnalisables. La production des 40 unités de la Marsien a commencé ces dernières semaines. Le fabricant s'attend à ce que les livraisons commencent d'ici fin 2022. Le prix ? Présentéeau concours d'élégance de la Villa d'Este en 2014, la 5-95 est l'œuvre du carrossier italien Zagato. Produite à seulement deux exemplaires, elle reprend le châssis et le V10 de Quand on aime l’automobile ancienne, il y a des noms, des lieux qui font rêver et qu’il faut connaître au moins une fois pour être comblé. La compétition à l’honneur du Concours d’Elegance de la Villa d’Este 2018 Quant aux voitures de course, LA star était la Tyrell P34 à 6 roues de 1977 il fallait jouer des coudes pour l’approcher, surtout quand le propriétaire a démarré son moteur ! La McLaren MP4/2B de Alain Prost de 1985 était également très plébiscitée par le public ! Du côté des autos de course routières, là aussi on trouve du très beau. Revenons un peu sur la Ferrari 335 Sport. Cette auto de 1958 a gagné le Best of Show du Concours d’Elegance de la Villa d’Este 2018. Dans un superbe état et avec un dessin spectaculaire, elle le mérite ! Enfin en dehors des Ferrari, il y avait du beau. On retiendra quatre mythes. Côté italien, une F1, une Maserati 250 F. Pour les allemandes, une Porsche, une 904 Carerra GTS. Et pour les anglais, deux choix, soit une Aston Martin DB3S, soit une Jaguar Type C. Bel échantillon de motos Les motos étaient exposées sous de longues tonnelles, avec de nombreuses raretés comme un side-car Brought Superior de 1939, une Miller Balsamo entièrement carénée de 1939, une impressionnante Benelli Balbiero de 1952, ou encore une Norwin cadre Norton et moteur Vincent de 1967. Les concepts modernes et BMW restent bien présents Ferrari, Mazda, GFG Style et Aston Martin exposaient quelques concept cars. BMW, qui est l’organisateur de cet événement depuis 1999, proposait un panel de modèles historiques de la marque, dont un rare cabriolet 507 de 1958, plusieurs coupé CSL et deux coupés M1. Dans un bâtiment annexe, une exposition était consacrée aux véhicules du groupes BMW BMW, Rolls Royce et Mini ayant participé à des films ou des séries célèbres. En bref, un événement remarquable, pour voir des voitures très rares dans un cadre idyllique, le tout à un prix très raisonnable puisque le ticket d’entrée est de 13,50 €.
